If your trip has yet to happen but you receive notice of unexpensed travel on your travel card overdue, you should start a travel report for the expenses and update the dates.
Make sure that you enter on the report header "Trip Start" and "Trip End" dates with the appropriate dates and then SAVE.
Make sure you submit the travel report with 60 days of your trip end date.
MIT Policy section 5.03 detailing Cardholder expense reporting responsibilities indicates that:
- Travelers who have not submitted a travel expense report within 90 days of the transaction will receive a suspension warning notification.
- If a travel expense report has not been filed within 120 days, the MIT Travel Card will be suspended, and if a travel expense report has not been filed within 150 days, the MIT Travel Card will be canceled, and the outstanding balance will be allocated to C/O used on the card application.
